The nursery side of Blooms Garden Center is looking for courteous, helpful and hardworking candidates.
Individuals on our green team oversee the care and management of our annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees.
We strive to provide the best customer service and experience for our customers.
Green team members will perform a variety of tasks including unload, document and breakdown plant shipments.
Assist in plant maintenance including watering, repotting, pruning, fertilizing as well as safely and properly load customer purchases.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers and assist in locating desired plants or products.
Unload, document, and stock plant/product shipments.
Assist in plant maintenance including watering, repotting, pruning, fertilizing, etc.
Create eye-catching plant displays and maintain a neat and orderly courtyard.
Discuss common plant/tree diseases and pests and educate customers to help them find the correct solution.
May be required to answer customer phone calls and handle inquiries.
Safely and properly load and transport plants to customer locations.
Correctly plant annuals, trees, and other greenery as specified by the supervisor.
There are occasional crossovers between the retail and green teams for helping in retail, such as:
helping carry products to customers' cars and carrying out transactions in POS.
Requirements:
Friendly, outgoing personality and an interest in helping customers create beautiful outdoor spaces.
Passion for plants and a basic understanding of their care.
Must be able to lift and move at least 40 lbs.
Be able to work in all weather conditions and be willing to get your hands dirty.
Must be able to work weekends and some evenings, adaptable to seasonal work schedule.
Ability to maintain a cheerful and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Must be a self-starter and able to initiate tasks without constant supervision.
Able to multitask.
Self-sufficient in day-to-day tasks; productive in downtime, able to keep busy.
Horticulture experience/education is a plus but not required.
Full-time and part-time jobs available.
Compensation will be commensurate with the experience and hours desired.

Blooms Garden Center and Gift Shop opened in 2017.
We carry annuals, vegetables, herbs, perennials, grasses, shrubs, evergreens and trees.
The Gift Shop is filled with unique gifts, handmade goods, houseplants and home and garden d cor.
